Fast-track into Nursing

Our 16-month Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program and our Advanced Standing BS in Nursing program in New York take the wait out of getting into a quality nursing school. We offer three starts a year, rolling admission, and convenient online access to degree requirements that need to be met before enrollment.

Utica ABSN Program and Advanced Standing BS in Nursing Program

Our rigorous blended online-onsite curriculum builds on your existing non-nursing college credits, making it an ideal path for those who desire a fast track into the nursing field. It’s also an excellent option because it has:

  • Three start dates a year — in January, May and August — so you can avoid a nursing school waitlist.
  • Accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), so you can feel confident you’re receiving a quality degree from a trusted, non-profit institution.

A No-Waitlist Path to Nursing School

From our program site locations in Syracuse and Albany, New York, we offer an accessible route to a quality nursing education for qualified applicants. Between our three program start dates per year and rolling admission process, we eliminate the waiting period often associated with getting into nursing school.

That means, depending on your desired program site location if you have at least 65 college credits with a 2.8 cumulative GPA or a non-nursing degree, you can start either the ABSN program or Advanced Standing BS in Nursing program as soon as you’re ready.

A Quality Education from a Trusted Accelerated Nursing Program

The continued success of our Accelerated BS in Nursing (ABSN) program and our Advanced Standing BS in Nursing program is evident in our two program locations, which maintain a proud tradition of providing a solution to the nationwide nursing shortage.

Once you complete our CCNE-accredited ABSN program or Advanced Standing BS in Nursing program in as few as 16 months, you’ll possess the nursing knowledge you need to sit for the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX-RN), the professional licensure exam all nurses must pass before they can practice. Through Utica University, you can feel confident that you’re receiving a quality nursing education that today’s healthcare employers respect.
